Thank you all for a wonderful school year! Please find attached the summer schedule.
Classes are the same as ever with a couple additions of Miss Rachael’s feis prep drop in classes.
Feis Dates - Our school’s feis dates are September 13th (Feis at the Falls) and 14th (Deirdre Abeid Memorial Feis) at the Spokane Convention Center this year. All of our classes this summer will be geared toward getting your kids ready for these competitions even if you aren’t able to attend. We really hope you can all participate to help support our school and join in the fun! If you’re a parent who is interested in volunteering for the first time, please let us know!

Feis Prep Class - Feis prep class is not mandatory to compete at our feis. This class is meant for dancers who would like an extra class here and there to work on technique details, feis related dance preparation etc. Steps will not be taught/reviewed at feis prep class. Your normal weekly class is still required and is the most important class for solo step learning and technique.
These classes are $15 strictly cash, due at the beginning of class.
Summer Figure Classes - If your child wants to compete in the team/figure dances at the feis, they will need to be at figure classes regularly throughout the summer. The whole team is let down by people missing practice. We understand having vacations planned, but if more than two classes will be missed, we’ll have to limit the number of dances your child participates in for figures. It takes a lot of team dedication to get these dancers ready. If your dancer is not currently in figure class and wants to join, please let us know ASAP.
Tuition Increase Starting in September - As we all know, the cost of everything has increased in the last years. We haven’t raised rates since before COVID as we didn’t want dance to be something people had to drop because of the world’s situation. At this point, the school does have to increase monthly tuition.
Starting September 1st, monthly tuition will be as follows:
Monthly Tuition:
1st class per family. $80
2nd $70
3rd $60
4th $40
Figure/Performance Class per student $50
Western US Region Oireachtas (WRO) is coming to Spokane!- An Oireachtas is what we call a “major” competition. It’s where championship level solo dancers and school figure teams can compete and qualify for national and world level competitions. This competition moves around to different cities throughout the western United States every year. I am a co-chair for this competition’s organization as Spokane is hosting Nov 21st-23rd 2025. Many hundreds of dancers from across the western US will come here to compete.
Our champion level dancers and highly dedicated, detail oriented, figure/team dancers will compete. Not all figure class dancers will be ready for this level of competition, but we will strive to get these kids into team competitions if they show dedication, and wish to compete. If you have a dancer in figure class who wants to be included, please let me know.
They’ll likely have an added teams class in the fall and special costume/wig fees will be required for each dancer.
If you know of businesses that may want to help out with sponsorships for this competition, that would be an amazing help!
We’ll get more information out on all of above next month.
